MedHandover

One live ward list. Every job. A proper handover.

MedHandover gives your team one live patient list, one place for outstanding jobs, and a structured handover the incoming clinician accepts.

  • Free for clinical teams
  • NHS-email verification
  • UK/EU data residency
  • No ads
  • No data selling

Your team already has a system. It’s probably three different systems.

The patient list lives in a Word document someone reprints every morning. The jobs live on a folded sheet of A4, in three people’s heads, and in a group chat. The handover is a corridor conversation and a memory test. Every rotation, the whole thing gets rebuilt from scratch.

There was probably a better way to do this.

Three things it does

Keep the list live

Create your team’s patient list once and update it together. It’s the same list on every phone, every shift, every day.

Track the jobs

Attach jobs to patients, assign an owner, and see what’s outstanding, who has it, and what’s done. Nothing lives on a scrap of paper.

Hand over properly

Transfer patients and jobs to the incoming clinician, who explicitly accepts them. Responsibility changes hands on the record, not in a corridor.

Send the doctors a job without another bleep or corridor chase.

Nurses, pharmacists and other contributors can submit an attributed, non-urgent job request straight to the team’s shared list — visible and owned, instead of vanishing on a crumpled piece of paper or down an unanswered bleep. No list on your ward yet? Any verified team member can create it and invite the team.

MedHandover is for non-urgent task coordination. Urgent clinical concerns must continue through your local escalation procedures.

Ten-minute setup

  1. Create your ward or on-call team’s list — any verified team member can start it.
  2. Invite the team, or hand round the join code.
  3. Add today’s patients and outstanding jobs.
  4. Complete the first handover before the next shift — the incoming clinician accepts it in the app.

Trust and privacy, in plain language

  • NHS-email verification — linking your NHS address unlocks your hospital’s directory and team discovery.
  • Permission-controlled access — admins approve every member; senders confirm every handover acceptance.
  • No patient data stored on your phone — nothing clinical sits on the device at rest.
  • UK/EU data residency — data lives in EU multi-region infrastructure with daily backups.
  • No ads. No data selling. No third-party trackers — this page doesn’t even set cookies.
  • Delete your account in-app, any time — everything cascades properly.
